Polyphasic presents Multiphasic - film with live 5.1 mix

Polyphasic is a musical project by West Virginia/New York based producer-artists Lars Wigren and Lincoln Miller who co-write, produce and perform their work together. Inspired by film, sleep, science fiction and the work of early electronic music pioneers, Polyphasic utilize a wide range of sound sources, methods and experiments in order to achieve the flavor of their sound.

The sonic palate of their recordings includes the use of analogue synthesizers, digital synthesis/sound manipulations, field recordings, tube oscillators, modified electronic instruments, tape machines and effect chains. This dynamic cinematic listening experience delivers vast, layered soundscapes, intricate audio collage arrangements and emotive explorations of pitch and melody arrangement.

Polyphasic seeks new ways to make music functional and incorporate creative sound design into everyday life through their audio productions. Projects such as interface sound-design, ringtones, and interactive audio experiences in a wide array of physical environments are areas in which Polyphasic seeks to enhance the listening experience for people as so many devices, websites, environments and websites become more and more audio friendly.

Polyphasic will present Multiphasic, a collaborative DVD project featuring animated and experimental short films created by various international filmmakers set to music produced by Polyphasic in ensconcing 5.1 surround sound and a full-length science-fiction film inspired sonic odyssey entitled The Map is Not the Territory.
