Sarah Halpern & Matt Wellins, Liquid Friction Assemblage, Borborites

Sarah Halpern & Matt Wellins live performance of homemade analog electronic devices with hand-painted/manipulated film

Sarah Halpern and Matt Wellins investigate brittle, erratic technologies that can generate sound and image in real-time. Their work is resolutely handmade and intentionally flexible to discrete nuances in natural phenomenon. Power supply, room size, and time of day have equal bearing on the characteristics of their live performance. They met in the Hudson Valley and have been collaborating for 8 years.

Keith Sinzinger: keyboard, electronics, Fender bass, brass
Gary Rouzer: amplified objects, prepared bass
Daniel Barbiero: double bass
