Screen Vinyl Image, The Plums, Buildings, Degollado

Screen Vinyl Image
Screen Vinyl Image create a full sonic force of sound and have been compared live to Suicide, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and My Bloody Valentine with a lot of John Carpenter sounds for good measure. Their influences range from Italo Disco/Hi-NRG and early Chicago House (think Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles) to biting 70's punk (The Stooges, The Misfits, Suicide) and obvious traces of their shoegaze past. (My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Curve).

The Plums

"Degollado" is both a beautiful area in Mexico, and literally translated "to behead" or "slit one's throat." It is also the duo of Christopher S. Feltner (Kingdom of Sharks, Ghosts of Nottoway) and, drummer, Nic McInturff (Trade, ex-Stifling). The focus: marrying the experimentation of current, and past projects, with a push towards breaking through personal creative boundaries in music as, first and foremost, SOUND; without any regard towards "genre" or popularity.
